Dear Sportsmen and Sportswomen,

The drive and the dynamics behind the beginning of my enterprise called Island Explorations was not motivated by profit. It was motivated by my passion for flycasting for bone fish in the tropics and for being a supportive host for my charitable partnerships.

For more than 25 years, we have participated with charitable organizations, such as Markey Cancer Center, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, the Hope Center, Oshkosh Boys and Girls Club, IADA Foundation. We’ve raised money for their causes by auctioning week-long retreats in Abaco, Bahamas. During this time, we have raised more than $8 million.

I now have the distinct honor of being invited to a very prestigious fishing club in Paris, France. At their invitation, I will deliver a presentation on the hundred-year history of flycasting for bonefish.

The aim of this trip is to continue to increase awareness of Island Explorations, which necessarily increases our philanthropic reach. If you’d like to help aid in our efforts, please consider making a financial contribution that would help realize this trip. If, after such a contribution, you’d be interested in having me present my talk at your own club or sports group, I’d of course do so at no cost.

Tight lines,

Jack Pittard
